Fari Hara Menswear

Hakeem Lawal has always been a problem-solver. After a brief foray into the corporate world, an economic downtown buoyed Hakeem into venturing upstream in the Fashion Industry; custom menswear. Particularly Hakeem had faced considerably difficulty in finding well-fitting off-the rack suits and he knew many others faced this problem as well. All he needed was a partner to leverage his understanding of the garment industry and buttress his operational expertise. Luckily, he found one in Richard Adejumo a Nigerian-Canadian like himself who had several years of expertise in fitting many thankful clients in Toronto.

Fari Hara aims to prove to men everywhere that a suit is not only for one-off events but for every and any occasion, with no restraints on choice.

Richard stumbled into the menswear business quite unexpectedly, but he quickly developed a passion for seeing his clients look their best and brought with him several years of expertise in the technical aspects of menswear. Noticing that some clients were limited by the available choices and were beginning to see the suit as a functional item, Richard sought to bring the romance back to men’s suiting. With the right resources he felt that he could change clients’ perception of wearing a suit, not only for major events but for all aspects of life.

And thus, Fari Hara was born from a mutual love of fashion and a shared belief that men should be empowered by the outfits they wear. Fari-Hara, a hybrid of the African Safari and Sahara, represents both Hakeem and Richard’s Nigerian heritage and the journey both men have embarked on to enlighten their clients to the endless possibilities of custom menswear.
